Join us for an unforgettable weekend campout nestled in the enchanting woods, just steps from the pristine sandy beach with breathtaking views overlooking Cape Lookout. CAMP Polari - Babes by the Sea is a merfolk-themed celebration of queer joy, community, and the rebellious spirit of Polari. We’re reclaiming the coast, fusing historical roots of a secret language with the wild abandon of a seaside escape. This isn’t just a campout; it’s a vibrant celebration. A defiantly delicious, and deeply silly embrace of who we are, together, while soaking in the delights of the sun and sand.

This event is a joyful collision of high-camp absurdity. Be prepared to be swept away at sea with an incredible DJ line-up, with performers to keep up pulsing on the dancefloor all weekend. Let’s raise our own {homemade} flag and stay limber while being led in sessions of Yoga, taught by local Pdx artists. Let’s embrace our history of queerness and share learning spaces through the history and craft of Polari. But that’s not all! Get ready to make a splash at our Merfolk Runway Fashion Show! Unleash your inner sea creature and showcase your most spectacular, most dazzling, scales-and-shells-, pearls-and-phish, inspired looks. Whether you’re a majestic merfolk, a glamorous siren, or a whimsical sea sprite, we want to see your creativity shine.

It’s a space where we nourish our bodies with incredibly delicious foods prepared by Portland’s very own chefs. We have a full Breakfast and Dinner menu prepared for the weekend to keep us fueled for all the festivities, and a crazy exciting raffle filled with prizes from all sorts of coastal and local Pdx vintage shops, tattoo parlors, restaurants, spas, and more!
